MiniMed Clinics and Laboratories received recognition for completing an HIV awareness process, being identified as a "zone free of stigma and discrimination." As part of the process led by the PASMO Association as part of the Generation Zero initiative.
To become "zone free of stigma and discrimination", a total of 43 people from different areas of the laboratory completed a series of training workshops, raising awareness on topics such as HIV, HIV prevention and testing, gender, sexual diversity, stigma and discrimination.
The event culminated with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque and was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health of Panama, the Embassy of the United States of America, staff of the PASMO Association, the Ombudsman's Office, among others.
