How often should I go to the ophthalmologist?

The eyes are one of our main five senses. However, most people do not pay adequate attention to their visual health.

How often should I go to the ophthalmologist? ⤵

Between the ages of 25 and 40, we recommend an ophthalmological visit every two years. Every patient over 40 years of age should undergo a basic ophthalmological evaluation, a general examination that includes the evaluation of visual acuity with or without correction, measurement of intraocular pressure, evaluation of the lens and a fundus examination. After this first baseline evaluation, checks must be carried out every two years.

It is important to remember that visiting us ophthalmologists is vital to diagnose, treat and prevent eye diseases.
